Standing tall at 5,500 meters, Yala Peak beckons adventurers to its pristine slopes in the enchanting Langtang Region, just north of Kathmandu. Recognized by the Nepal Mountaineering Association as a trekking peak, this non-technical climb offers an accessible adventure for trekkers of all levels. From its summit, you’ll be greeted with a breathtaking panorama that includes the majestic Shishapangma (8,013m), the tallest mountain in Tibet.

Of the three routes to Yala Peak, the most popular and accessible one starts from Syabru Besi, a scenic six-hour drive from Kathmandu. As you climb, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of peaks like Naya Kanga, Ganchepo, and Tserko Peak. From the summit, feast your eyes on an awe-inspiring vista that includes Dorje Lakpa, Nayakanga, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, Ganchenpo, and many more magnificent peaks from the Tibetan region.
